Espresso, flat white, mocha or cold brew.

Each cup of coffee is as particular as the person drinking it.

And they all have a story to tell.

These fictional musings are my caffeine-inspired creations

which are crafted to be enjoyed as a single shot or savoured one sip at a time.

I am Christina Fotinelli, writer of TV comedy and comic flash fiction. Very simply, I created
The Coffee Letters to make people laugh. These short stories are slightly odd and mostly about everyday things that could, possibly, potentially, perhaps happen to any of us. The idea is simple: if we can meet life's twists and turns with a smile, a pinch of salt, and a lightness of heart, things may feel a little less heavy.

As a life-long grump, I have found this approach to be soothing and surprisingly effective.

Alongside The Coffee Letters, I'm writing and developing sitcoms and TV comedy series -

different formats, same intention: to make people laugh and feel a little more seen (and sane!)

Coming soon, The Coffee Letters will be adapted into short films.

A web series is also planned for production in late 2026. Get in touch to learn more

THE COFFEE LETTERS

A blend of fictional amuse-bouches about the coffee people drink and the letters they write. They are also about the letters people write when they drink coffee.

Or if you prefer, they're about people who like to drink coffee while writing letters.

THE FLITZANI*

A serialized short story to complement The Coffee Letters. This one is a slow drip, it reveals itself post by post.

*Flitzani aka Greek coffee. For drinking...

and divining the future

VAЯIATIONS

There are moments and there are memories. We go through life thinking they are one and the same, but this could not be farther from the truth.

These bite-size pieces of fiction explore the connection between moments and memories. And how our memories alter our lives.

NEXT SHOT

Dear Leslie,

David likes numbers. Their certainty soothes him. They’re how he makes sense of the world. They act as his comfort blanket when things don’t go to plan.

The thing is, David isn’t very good at counting. Quite often, his numbers are wrong. This inevitably results in the rather unfortunate conclusion that David's life, on most occasions, does not go to plan.

Unless, that is, his best friend Leslie comes to the rescue. The trouble is, Leslie is a no-show on the most important day of David’s life.
